Community Health Nursing is a specialized branch of nursing that integrates nursing science with other health-related disciplines and evidence-based practices to address the health needs of populations. It combines the fundamental elements of professional nursing with public health and community practices to promote and protect community health. Students in this field engage in practical training, participating in family health surveys and home visits. Students trained various health centers, including urban and rural health centers, primary health centers, and community health centers, Anganwadi centers, schools.
The department is dedicated to enhance community health through active participation in extension activities, includes organizing and conducting antenatal and postnatal clinics and special health camps. Additionally the department focuses on home care management for high-risk mothers and neonates, accident management, illness care, and referral services. The department faculties also provides training and supervision for health workers, ensuring a comprehensive approach to improving the overall health status of the community.

The Department is currently situated on the 1st floor of the college, with a Community Health lab of 1500 sq. ft. on the 2nd floor. This lab provides facilities for practicing and learning a wide range of Community Health nursing skills in a secure environment.
